TCO – Sulfur Block Pouring

Matrix PDM Engineering developed a unique solution for sulfur block pouring needs called the Pivot Pour System.

The Pivot Pour System is the easiest and safest method to pour molten sulfur to solid block form using a towers and arms configuration that evenly distributes the sulfur and forms a block safely without dangerous pockets of molten sulfur.

This project for TCO in Kazakhstan came about, and the Pivot Pour System was developed, due to a block failure from another suppliers outdated equipment.

Matrix PDMs equipment was designed to prevent this type of failure by providing a more even and thin layer of sulfur applied to the block.

On this project, Matrix PDM designed and installed 7 Pivot Pour sulfur block pouring systems, with each of the 7 towers and arms supplying 3,000 to 5,000 ton per day pouring capacity.
