Matrix employees give back to community at the Tulsa Boys’ Home

On November 5, 2021, 27 Matrix volunteers painted 50 acres worth of pipe fencing in the front Tulsa Boys’ Home pasture as part of the Tulsa Area United Way’s annual Day of Caring.

The Tulsa Boys’ Home was the first and remains the largest residential treatment facility serving troubled boys in Oklahoma. They provide residential services to 64 boys between the ages of 13 to 18, as well as their families when there is a family. Many of these boys learn to lead productive lives, and credit TBH for breaking the cycle of poverty, abuse, and neglect that is often passed on from generation to generation if no help is available.

Matrix Service Company Director of IT and Tulsa Boys’ Home Board Member, Julius Hughes, said that Matrix saved TBH thousands of dollars in contractor fees that will now go towards the mission of supporting the boys.

Matrix thanks employees Suzanne Romine, Derrick Walters, and Kenny Ashford for serving as project managers.
